A family home you can rent for a week, or a month.

Maafolhey Han'dhaan is a complete private home in the village on Ukulhas. Two bedrooms with private bathrooms, a sofa bed in the living area, a kitchen you can actually cook in, a washing machine you'll be glad of by day three.

It works well for families travelling with young children, small groups splitting an island, and couples who want their own space for a longer stay. Bookings come straight to the family who looks after the home, no booking platform in the middle.

"Great house, comfortable and conveniently located. The kitchen has everything you need, and the layout makes it easy to put the children in one room and the adults in another."

"Everything we needed was there. We cooked our own meals without any trouble. The beach is just a short walk away and it's beautiful, with free sunbeds and plenty of shade. Great restaurants right nearby too. A big thank you to Nasir for all his support during our stay."

"A beautiful, fully equipped home: kettle, toaster, stove, microwave, washing machine, the lot. Every room has air conditioning, and each bedroom has its own bathroom with shower. There's also a small courtyard with a table and chairs, lovely for morning coffee. Five minutes to the beach. Nasir was wonderful throughout: always available, brought us homemade Maldivian treats, and arranged our transfer to the next island."

Why message us direct.

We're on Booking.com because that's how a lot of guests first find us. But if you've already found us here, going direct is better for both of us. Three reasons.

  • 1

Talk to the people who live here

Your messages reach the family who looks after the home, not a call centre. Ask anything before you commit: group size, cot, pickup at the dock.

  • 2

    No deposit to hold dates

We hold your dates while we work out the details together. You pay on arrival, in cash or by card. No advance charge, no cancellation fee surprise.

  • 3

Better rate than the booking platforms

Rates run $150 per night in low season and $300 in peak, all taxes included. OTAs charge us 15–20% commission on top of that. Booking direct means we pass most of that saving back to you.

Typical reply window: within 12 hours, often much faster. We'll send the seasonal rate, confirm a baby cot if you need one, and answer practical questions before you decide.
